“ Don’t trust the bad reviews. We first went to the Genesis dealership on the west side (which had better ratings), but this location turned out to be far better. The other dealership never sat us down, didn’t seem to know much about the vehicles, and overall wasn’t helpful. While the west side may have a nicer building, the staff here were on a completely different level. We worked with Nick, one of the managers, and he was amazing. He helped us find exactly what we were looking for, knew the model inside and out, and walked us through all the features once we got into the car. “ I took my gv80 to World Car / Genesis of East San Antonio for maintenance and honestly everyone, they stand out in my opinion. The scheduling wait to get in was very reasonable and my overall experience was good. I do recommend genesis owners take their vehicle there for future services. I do have to drive ~50+ minutes to get there, but I have experienced too many disappointments by taking my vehicle in for routine maintenance at other Genesis service centers. I grew to understand why most negative comments from folks online are talking about the brand's service center. When you go to buy a Genesis, the service for your vehicle is highly talked up and the perks sound just amazing, but it's far from what an owner actually experiences. Or I should phrase it as "it's far from all my experiences". The Genesis brand is a bit young yet and it's growing at a great pace, so certain service locations will be better equipped to honor the luxury perks. Any service has been some sort of struggle for me in the past, but that was not the case at the World Car location. That place really changed my mindset and I don't feel that dread when thinking about the vehicle's up coming maintiance. Side note: Unfortunately I won't be able to use the valet services perk that comes with car based on distance from the shop, but it can be difficult to find a good shop that leaves you feeling confident to return for future services. So consider this location if it's not too far from you or it's not such a hassle to get there. Again, I do recommend this service center. ”

“ I recently bought a new Genesis V70 SUV. The salesperson, Gordon, “Sir Charles,”, was very attentive throughout the process. There were little things that I really had to go through that I would not expect when buying a luxury vehicle. I was told that items sold with the vehicle would not be put on the vehicle, specifically the rack on the roof, and the front license plate holder. I did get my roof rack put on after being told no at first. I’m still waiting for my license plates to come and then I will talk to whoever necessary. Once my car was purchased Nick Hallock has been awesome in showing me features of my car that was invaluable. ”
“ Let me begin by saying my wife and I love our new GV70 we purchased in October. However, the service has been terrible. They now have struck out with me and I’ll be taking our vehicle to the other dealership about an hour away. It began when I scheduled our first oil change for 7:30. When I arrived I was told the mechanics weren’t in and they’d get to me as soon as possible (Strike 1). When I scheduled an appointment to have a recall notice taken care of they initially had no idea what the recall was about (Strike 2). I was told they had no idea how long it would take so a shuttle was ordered. 45 minutes later I was still waiting (Strike 3). Again we love our Genesis, but we don’t like the service ”
“ Headlight assembly went bad on my G70 with 60k miles. They wanted $3000 for a new one and almost $800 to install. Found one on my own for $300 and installed it myself in 30 minutes. What a joke. ”

“ Like most of the other reviews, this dealership does indeed try to scam you out of your warranty. I went in for a routine oil change, and I’m still under the complimentary oil change warranty. When I pointed that out, the gentlemen in the service department said they aren’t supposed to look up cars VIN to verify so I’d have to produce the entire contract I signed upon purchasing my car to verify. (I don’t think I have to go in detail on how moronic that is). I should’ve just left at that point but I had to get an oil change that day so I bit the bullet. After 2 hours and the standard phone call you’d expect from other dealerships, the one trying to get you to replace all the filters and alignments for extra $$$, I was charged $202 after being quoted 150 total. If you HAVE to go here, be ready to go ahead and just email Genesis Corporate and open up a case. To whomever reads this review from that dealership, please know customers are not stupid and it’s incredibly embarrassing for a “professional” to be telling people they aren’t supposed to look up a VIN. Do you carry your car purchase contract around with you? ”

“ STAY AWAY!!! If you are a Genesis owner I would do your best to stay away from this place. They will try to not honor your warranty. PLEASE GO TO Genesis of Northwest San Antonio instead as they are an actual Genesis dealership and save yourself the headache. I went to get my horn replaced for the SECOND time this year already on a BRAND NEW 2023 GV80 with extended factory warranty. After a diagnostics they determined it was “water damage” They took a picture of some water spots on a horn and said this was the cause as if I am supposed to avoid driving in the rain and going through car washes at all cost. I had them take both horns off the upper and the lower which btw took 10 minutes they did it in front of me as I watched (crazy how fast things can get done when you are standing next to them) and they wanted to tell me it was going to be 2 hour labor estimated at 1k total, both horns look the same inside. What is even more pathetic is your service manager was pointing at the WORKING horn and telling me that’s why its not working you can see the water corrosion. The service manager was pointing underneath my car at water spots. I could not fathom how he was trying to seem surprised and show me water spots UNDERNEATH a car as if that is unusual. ”
